Applesauce

Ingredients:
  • 4 medium cooking apples
  • 2 inch stick of cinnamon
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup water
  • 2 to 4 Tbs sugar
Directions:
  1. Core and peel apples and cut into quarters.
  2. Place in medium saucepan with water, sugar, and cinnamon stick.
  3. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer 8-10 minutes or until tender.
  4. Uncover, remove from heat, and remove cinnamo.
  5. Mash apples.
  6. Cover and refrigerate.
Equipment:

saucepan, fork or potato masher

Preparation Time:

20 minutes

Serves:
Makes 1.5 cups
